Absence of Malice

This novel was written as a contribution to a global conference in Vigo, Spain in 2022 of the International Institute for Fisheries and Trade. The 250 conference participants received a copy of the book.

The author thought the novel would provide participants an unusual, different tale to weave the complexity of the exploitation of the marine environment and the many -- often unknown or considered unrelated -- factors and personal considerations that ultimately influence what we believe to be the observed reality. The story tracks five main characters across the globe who each search for family they have lost.
