New Life In an Old Town: Part One of the Ayton Cycle

The small, sleepy town of Ayton-on-the-Wold in the English Midlands faces an influx of County line gangs peddling drugs and prostitution. The gangs are recruiting young people to a corrupting and increasingly deadly business. At the same time the town is struggling with the challenge of supporting newly arrived migrants of diverse backgrounds. The dilemmas for the townspeople associated with those dual tasks are the background to a tragic love story....

As the formerly sleepy Midlands town of Ayton struggles to deal with rapid cultural and social change to their existing world and to stem the activities of sometimes violent criminal gangs trading in prostitution and drugs, all the main characters have difficult decisions to make. Against a background of rising ethnic tension and violence in the town, the lives and destinies of Emily, Izzy, Ondrej, Albin and Bakri converge.
