Agriculture, Food and Rural Development Thematic Group

Regenerative agriculture is expanding in many developing countries as farmers, policymakers, and businesses recognize the need for sustainable food systems in an era of climate change. This form of zero till agriculture practice aims to improve soil health and crop yields while reducing environmental impact. The main speaker, Shekhar Bhadsavle, will draw on his four decades of experience as a farmer and explain the Saguna Regenerative Technique (SRT) he has developed, which is being used by thousands of farmers across India. We are reaching out to discussants who will comment on the spread of this and other regenerative technologies across the world.

The main speaker will be Shekhar Bhadsavle, a progressive farmer, who is highly recognized (including recipient of the prestigious Krishi Ratna award) for his innovative work. He hails from Neral, Maharashtra, India and will share his experiences in rolling out his Saguna Regenerative Technique (SRT) with thousands of farmers in India.

Mr. Bhadsavle will be in the U.S. at the invitation of the Global Farmers Network to participate in a regenerative agriculture meeting. We are taking advantage of his presence in the area to have him speak to us. Please do not miss to hear from an innovator working at the front lines!! I would like to invite you to participate in this presentation and where he will share his own experiences in regenerative agriculture.
