Speakers:
- Sharada Sundar is the Pension Administration Manager responsible for managing a global pension plan with over 26,000 participants and beneficiaries in over 100 countries; disbursing pension benefit payments in over 75 currencies totaling around a billion US dollars per year. She currently serves as Secretary to the Pension Benefits Administration Committee which is responsible for interpreting the plan provisions and ensuring that the Plan is administered to its terms. She has played a key role in the modernization of the delivery of pension information to plan participants. She joined the pension team at the beginning of her career and believes in the vital role of informing plan participants across the world. She holds a MBA from Virginia Tech University, and a Masters’ in Statistics from Bombay University, India.
- Alexander Basilia is one of the team leads in Pension Administration. He has been working with the team for the past 15 years. Alex is a subject matter expert on pension policy and US taxation. He was working with International Monetary Fund before joining the Bank. Alex holds graduate degrees from London School of Economics and Political Science and University of Maryland at College Park. He is a Certified Public Accountant (MD & CA) and Personal Finance Specialist (AICPA).
