Agriculture, Food and Rural Development Thematic Group event
Food insecurity was declining rapidly but progress has slowed, with 750 million counted as hungry. International action by and cooperation among organizations such as the World Bank, CGIAR, WFP, FAO, WTO played an important role in bringing investment and technology and increasing trade and aid.
