Achievement of results in the largest ever $93 billion IDA20 (2023-2025) and the Bank’s Evolution to be significantly bigger and better programs will require efficient implementation with accountability. While the primary responsibility for addressing these challenges rests with the recipient government civil society organizations (CSOs) can help as partners in delivery and assuring accountability for results. This session will discuss what roles CSOs currently play, what more can they do and what actions are needed to make this happen? These issues have been discussed in a study prepared by Partnership for Transparency (PTF) with support from the Open Society Foundations (OSF).
