1818 Society’s 46th Annual Meeting was held on Thursday, November 14, 2024. At the meeting, the results of the 1818 Society’s 2024 elections were proclaimed. Nine (9) candidates submitted their nomination for five (5) position of Directors of the Board. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes were to be elected for three-year terms. The two candidates receiving the next highest number of votes were to be elected for a one-year term.
Board of Directors
The total number of valid ballots received for the election of Directors was 1,333 which was 18% of the total number of 7,233 eligible voters.
Of the nine (9) candidates, the three (3) who received the highest number of votes were:
Lynne Sherburne-Benz: 710 votes
Katia Tabash: 704 votes
Aurelio Menendez Garcia: 655 votes
In accordance with Subsection 4(ii) of Article VI, these three (3) winning candidates for Director have been elected to a three (3) year term.
The two candidates who received the next highest number of votes and who have been elected for a one-year term are:
Sanjivi Rajasingham: 633 votes
Negar Rafikian: 569 votes
