• Pension Committee
  • The Board has approved the composition of the newly reconstituted Pension Committee for 2025 and 2026.

• Important Notice: FATCA Reporting Requirements for World Bank Group Staff and Retirees
  • Under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), U.S. citizens and other individuals (including U.S. Legal Permanent Residents) who are filing U.S. tax returns as residents must report specified foreign financial assets on IRS Form 8938 if their total value exceeds certain thresholds.  Click here for more information.
• Procedure for 2025 Medicare/IRMAA Premium Reimbursements
  All retirees who have signed up for Medicare are now required to submit documentation about their 2025 Medicare/IRMAA premium to receive reimbursement, even if they are only paying the basic premium and not the additional IRMAA-adjusted premium. You can do this in either of two ways:

• • Option 1. Via the Pension Portal: You may now submit the Medicare premium reimbursement request for 2025 through the Pension Portal. ALL retirees must upload to the Pension Portal the letter received from Social Security Administration (SSA) or the new Medicare invoice (if you do not receive the SSA letter). Your Medicare premium for 2025 will not be reimbursed until this document has been uploaded through the Pension Portal.
  • Option 2. By Email: If you are unable to upload the document to the Pension Portal, you can send it by email to hroperations@worldbank.org attaching the SSA letter/invoice. In this case you will also need to fill out and attach Form 00032.
